New Uniform Day! Monday 5th December 2022
Feedback from an 8 year old member following their first rehearsal.
Young Crescendos aim to provide high quality choir rehearsal, workshop and performance opportunities for it's members and as our logo states to sing, have fun and build confidence. We will cover a wide range of music styles from musical theatre to contemporary pop to modern classical works written specifically for young voices.
The choir is led and run by Nicky Copley and the choir performed for the first time, in front of an audience of 300, on Monday 19th December at the Milton Rooms, Malton! It was a wonderful night of contemporary Christmas choral music and it looks set to be an annual event!
December '23 & '24
Our end of year concert on Saturday 15th July was a fantastic evening of song. We were joined by Malton School Chamber Choir and we were raised a fantastic £531 for our chosen charity, Candlelighters which is a Yorkshire charity who support families who have children with cancer. It was was a fantastic way to end the year.

When do you rehearse?
Mondays in term time from 6pm to 7pm. First rehearsal for the Spring term is Monday 8th April 2024.
Where do you rehearse?
In the music block at Malton School, Middlecave Road, Malton.
How much does it cost?
There is a monthly membership fee of £20 per member due on the 1st of every month.
Do I have to audition to join?
No Young Crescendos is open to all who love to sing. Don't worry if you think you are not the best singer as long as you want to sing you will be fine as when we sing together magic happens! Remember Miss Nicky is looking for choir members not soloists!
How old do I have to be to join?
You have to be 6 to join.
How do I join?
Send an email via the contacts page on this website to Nicky and she will send all the information you need and a registration form link, which you then complete if you wish to join. Or use these links to access the information straight away. Super easy!
